MISSION STATEMENT

The Orlando Youth Wind Society is committed to providing unique and professional level performance opportunities for young musicians, while educating and promoting the performance of music for wind and chamber ensembles.

OUR ORGANIZATION

The Orlando Youth Wind Society was formed with support from FantasyLand Theatrical Productions to create one or more honors wind ensembles in Central Florida.  Instead of using the traditional model of forming in partnership with a school or professional musical ensemble, we have chosen to partner with a theatrical organization to provide a more engaging concert experience.  We plan to utilize innovative staging, technical theater, and set design in combination with high level wind ensemble repertoire.

We are currently planning out our first season and raising money to purchase necessary instruments, music, and equipment.  Our program season will run parallel to the school year and first auditions will take place August 27-28.
